Job Title

• Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (Night Shift)

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, contract, nights, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Support patients during labor, delivery, and recovery using modern equipment and techniques.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to promote bonding, skin-to-skin contact, and early postpartum support.
• Utilize pain management options including epidurals, nitrous oxide, and other methods, available 24/7.
• Monitor and care for patients in a Level IIB Special Care Nursery, ensuring high standards of neonatal care.
• Document patient progress and administer treatments in accordance with hospital protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Massachusetts Registered Nurse license at the time of submission.
• Recent BLS (American Heart Association) certification.
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
• Minimum of 6 months of recent Labor and Delivery experience.
• Ability to work night shifts and adapt to a dynamic clinical environment.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with modern labor and delivery equipment and private LDR rooms.
• Knowledge of the Rooming-in model and neonatal care best practices.
• Previous experience working in a Level IIB Special Care Nursery.

Additional Details

• Shift hours: 12 hours per night shift, with a weekly guarantee of 72 hours (excluding on-call time).
• Location: Winchester, MA
• BILH coverage sheet required at the time of submission.
• No local candidates accepted; candidates must be separated from BILH for over 6 months and in good standing.
• Contract opportunities available with options for permanent, per diem, or contract assignments.
