Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, Travel, 13-week assignment, Days shift, 4 shifts per week, 10-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in various specialties such as ortho, spine, joint replacements, ENT, urology, vascular, thoracic, plastic surgery, and more.
• Scrub and circulate on all service lines, ensuring adherence to sterile techniques and safety protocols.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient status throughout the surgical process, including preoperative and postoperative phases.
• Collaborate with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
• Manage patient care in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating critical thinking and excellent bedside manner.
• Comply with all unit policies, including on-call rotations, rotating weekends, and holiday coverage as assigned.
Required Qualifications
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida or appropriate compact state.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• At least 2 years of current experience working in an acute care OR setting.
• Experience with orthopedic, spine, or joint replacement procedures.
• Ability to scrub and circulate across all service lines.
• Must be able to work 10-hour day shifts, 4 days per week.
Preferred Experience / Skills
• PALS and CNOR certification.
• Previous charge nurse or leadership experience in the OR.
• Strong critical thinking and multitasking skills.
