Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Job Title

• Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (ER)

• Hilo, HI

Schedule / Job Type

• 15-week contract, Days shift, 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts (36 hours weekly), no guaranteed hours

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced ER department
• Manage a 28-bed unit including trauma bays, behavioral health rooms, and cardiac monitor rooms
• Collaborate with medical team to ensure efficient patient flow and care delivery
• Respond to critical emergencies and perform life-saving procedures as needed
• Document patient information accurately and maintain compliance with all protocols
• Ensure readiness of all equipment and supplies required for emergency treatments

Required Qualifications

• Possession of an active Hawaii RN license (candidates not licensed in HI must apply upon acceptance of offer)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Certifications in Procedural Sedation, TMCC, or EMPC (preferred but not required)
• Previous ER nursing experience in a fast-paced environment
