Registered Nurse – ICU (Trauma ICU)

Schedule / Job Type
Travel Contract – 16 weeks, with options to sign for 36 or 48 hours per week; rotating shifts including day and night hours, typically 3 weeks of days and 3 weeks of nights
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized trauma ICU patient care in a Level I trauma, magnet, and teaching hospital setting
- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, conduct arterial lines, central lines, and PICC line management
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Adhere to hospital protocols and pass the Relias EKG exam demonstrating dysrhythmia management skills
- Support float to within scope of practice as needed across hospital units and affiliated facilities
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Missouri or a compact license (must match state of residence) at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years ICU experience, including trauma patient care
- Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH
- Experience with interpreting and managing dysrhythmias, arterial lines, and ICU equipment
- Ability to pass the hospital's Relias EKG exam for dysrhythmia interpretation and management
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous Level I trauma or teaching hospital experience
- EPIC charting system experience
- Familiarity with ICU procedures such as PICC, central lines, and arterial lines
- Flexibility to float within scope and adapt to hospital needs
