Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, Night shifts (3x12 hours)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to patients in a Medical Surgical unit.
• Administer medications, blood products, and perform peripheral line care as needed.
• Manage PICC lines and ensure adherence to isolation precautions.
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner charting system.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to coordinate patient treatment and discharge planning.
• Float as needed within scope to meet facility needs, including possible coverage at affiliate hospitals.

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license or in the process with an ETA for licensure.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical nursing.
• BLS certification required; AHA and Red Cross accepted.
• Strong IV therapy, phlebotomy, and blood product administration skills.
• Knowledge of infection control protocols and isolation precautions.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a Level I trauma center or acute care hospital.
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic medical record system.
• Ability to work autonomously and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
