Schedule / Job Type

• Night shifts, 13-week contract, approximately 36 hours per week, with variable shift lengths and days. Flexibility required.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care within the Medical Surgical unit, following general clinical protocols.
• Utilize equipment such as Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vacs, and chest tubes.
• Support patient needs with a nurse-to-patient ratio of approximately 1:6 during days/evenings and 1:8 during nights.
• Float to other units as needed, including Laulima and Cardiovascular units.
• Adhere to professional nursing standards and department-specific protocols.
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, including vaccination requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Hawaii Registered Nurse license (or must obtain prior to start date).
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• 2 to 10 years of relevant nursing experience.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts with flexibility.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in Medical Surgical units.
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR and related medical equipment.
• Prior experience floating between departments.
