Tech IR/Special Procedures

Job Title
• Interventional Radiology/Special Procedures Technician

Location
• Charlottesville, VA

Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, 13-week contract, Days shift, 8-hour shifts, rotating call every 4th week

Key Responsibilities
• Provide imaging support in the operating room for interventional radiology and vascular procedures
• Assist with IR/Special Procedures during surgical cases
• Support OR team by ensuring accurate imaging documentation and equipment operation
• Float within scope of practice as needed within the facility
• Adhere to travel compliance policies, including RTO and mile radius restrictions

Required Qualifications
• ARRT certification and BLS certification required
• Valid state license or pending license submission (must have license in-hand by Wednesday before start date)
• VA license required (can submit pending license, eligible for temporary license if licensure is in another state, typical ETA 8 weeks)
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Must have experience working in Interventional Radiology or Special Procedures

Preferred Experience / Skills
• BSN degree preferred
• Previous experience working within a hospital setting, specifically in IR or OR support
• Knowledge of different imaging modalities relevant to IR procedures

• Travelers are limited to a 50-mile radius for certain units; local candidates accepted for some areas
• Copy of required certifications must be included with submission

• Modules and training sessions are non-billable, completed during orientation
