Key Responsibilities
- Provide bedside nursing care to patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU).
- Monitor and interpret patient vital signs, ECG rhythms, and other clinical data.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and compliance.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Document patient observations, interventions, and responses accurately in electronic health records.
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies, safety protocols, and healthcare standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 months recent, permanent experience in CVICU or similar specialty.
- Valid Ohio RN license or Compact license in hand at the time of submission.
- Current American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
- Ability to pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation.
- Successful completion of a skills assessment with acceptable scores.
- Negative 10-panel drug screen, including Nicotine (for non-nurses/caregivers), within the past 12 months.
- Completion of BCI/FBI fingerprinting within 48 hours of contract signing.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Travel experience in CVICU can be accepted.
- References from a manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty.
- Proficiency with electronic documentation systems such as Qualivis – Lotus.
