Key Responsibilities

• Provide bedside nursing care to patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU).
• Monitor and interpret patient vital signs, ECG rhythms, and other clinical data.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and compliance.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Document patient observations, interventions, and responses accurately in electronic health records.
• Ensure adherence to hospital policies, safety protocols, and healthcare standards.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 months recent, permanent experience in CVICU or similar specialty.
• Valid Ohio RN license or Compact license in hand at the time of submission.
• Current American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Ability to pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation.
• Successful completion of a skills assessment with acceptable scores.
• Negative 10-panel drug screen, including Nicotine (for non-nurses/caregivers), within the past 12 months.
• Completion of BCI/FBI fingerprinting within 48 hours of contract signing.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Travel experience in CVICU can be accepted.
• References from a manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty.
• Proficiency with electronic documentation systems such as Qualivis – Lotus.
