Emergency Room Social Worker (LMSW or LCSW)

Full-time, 4 nights per week, night shift (4x10 hours)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide emergency social work services within the hospital’s emergency department.
- Assess patient needs and coordinate appropriate care and resources.
- Document clinical interactions in the Epic electronic medical record system.
- Work within scope to float to affiliate facilities if needed.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient support.
- Participate in on-call rotation, if required, and work during major holidays as scheduled.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Alaska LMSW or LCSW license (pending license accepted, takes 10-12 weeks).
- Minimum of 1 year of acute care social work experience.
- Ability to work the night shift (5:00 PM – 3:00 AM).
- Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays.
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in an acute hospital setting, preferably within trauma or emergency departments.
- Epic electronic health record proficiency.
- Strong assessment and documentation skills.
