Registered Nurse - Emergency Room
Location
Houston, TX
Schedule / Job Type
Travel, 13-week contract, night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), working 3 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide acute emergency care to patients in a busy ER setting.
- Conduct procedures such as IV starts, blood draws, resuscitation, and EKGs.
- Collaborate with a team of nurses and EMTs to deliver optimal patient outcomes.
- Adhere to unit policies, including uniform standards and safety guidelines.
- Document patient care accurately in Meditech EMR system.
- Maintain a calm and active presence in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas or appropriate state.
- Minimum of 1 year of ER nursing experience.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC.
- Strong skills in trauma care and acute patient management.
- Ability to work night shifts and handle high-pressure situations.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior trauma patient care experience.
- Experience with emergency procedures and advanced airway management.
