Full-time, days (12-hour shifts)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert nursing care to patients in a Medical Surgical unit within a Short Term Acute Care facility.
• Float between units as required, delivering seamless patient care across different departments.
• Adhere to hospital protocols, including Epic Hardstop documentation requirements.
• Maintain compliance with staffing ratios (1:5) and hospital dress codes.
• Support patient safety and comfort during 12-hour day shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Texas nursing license or compact license in hand at submission.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a Medical Surgical setting.
• Ability to work 3 days per week, with 12-hour day shifts.
• Successfully complete hospital-specific modules and annual training requirements.
• Strong communication skills and ability to float between units seamlessly.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Prior experience working in a Level II Trauma Center.
• Familiarity with Epic electronic health record systems.
• Availability to work scheduled holidays and weekends.
