Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care for labor and delivery patients, including assessments, diagnoses, planning, and interventions.
- Manage and coordinate care for postpartum and high-risk antepartum patients.
- Perform and monitor fetal heart rate (FHR) and fetal scalp electrode (FSE) monitoring using advanced equipment.
- Assist with vaginal and C-section deliveries, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Adhere to unit policies and procedures, maintaining compliance with hospital standards.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of current acute care hospital L&D experience.
- Valid BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN or EFM certifications.
- Strong skills in fetal monitoring and delivery procedures.
- Ability to work a flexible, dependable, and friendly manner within a team.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in Mom/Baby, Peds, or NICU units.
- Familiarity with hospital EMR systems such as CPN and Meditech.
- Experience with advanced neonatal and high-risk obstetric care.
