Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for labor and delivery patients in a 19-bed unit with additional recovery, triage, and OR rooms.
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and postpartum care, following the nursing process for assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Coordinate and direct all nursing activities for high-risk antepartum, labor, delivery, and postpartum patients.
• Employ fetal monitoring equipment and electronic medical records systems to ensure patient safety and care quality.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to meet patient needs and ensure smooth unit operations.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of current acute care hospital experience in Labor & Delivery.
• Active BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN or EFM certification.
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Mom/Baby, Peds, and NICU care.
• Familiarity with fetal heart rate monitors, fetal scalp electrodes, and EMR systems such as CPN and Meditech.
• Strongly preferred candidates with advanced skills in high-risk obstetric care.
