• Registered Nurse – Observation

Location

Schedule / Job Type
• Days, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week, 26-week contract (not flexible)

Key Responsibilities
• Provide specialized nursing care in a hospital's Observation unit within an acute care setting
• Monitor patients, administer medication, and respond to patient needs following established protocols
• Float within scope across multiple hospital campuses to ensure proper coverage and patient care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient treatment and ensure compliance with facility procedures
• Complete all required modules and certifications promptly, adhering to time-sensitive training requirements

Required Qualifications
• Valid Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license or pending license accepted
• Minimum of 18 months of recent telemetry/acute care experience, with 2 years preferred
• Vasoactive drip experience is mandatory
• Certifies Required: AHA or Red Cross BLS, ACLS (must be current at time of submission), NIHSS (must obtain prior to start)
• Must pass EKG and pharmacy tests during orientation (max 2 attempts each, no remediation)
• Negative 10-panel drug screen plus nicotine (cotinine) test required within 12 months of start date

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience working in a hospital telemetry or observation unit
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic charting system
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced acute care environment
