Registered Nurse IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Job Title

• Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU/PCU/Stepdown

• Columbus, OH

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, night shifts, 3 shifts per week, rotating holidays, with occasional weekends

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care within the Progressive Care Unit (PCU), ICU, or Stepdown unit
• Maintain a patient ratio of approximately 1 nurse to 5 patients
• Perform skills in IV starts and telemetry monitoring
• Document patient information using Epic or similar electronic health record systems
• Float within units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed
• Adhere to safety and compliance standards within the hospital setting

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a PCU, ICU, or Stepdown unit
• Valid compact or state RN license in hand at the time of submission
• ACLS and BCLS certifications required
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and IV starts

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous travel nursing experience in intensive care settings
• Familiarity with Epic or similar documentation systems
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Additional Requirements

• All candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly upon signing the contract
• Candidate must be responsive and cooperative with credentialing process to ensure timely start
• References: Two professional references required, including at least one leadership reference
• RTO (Request for Time Off) must be built into the contract
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate; candidates outside Ohio must drive to a fingerprinting location or complete a mailed fingerprint packet

Note: Candidates outside of Ohio within driving distance should plan to complete fingerprinting promptly. Candidates from distant locations will receive mailed fingerprinting instructions.
