Registered Nurse Oncology

Job Title
• Registered Nurse – Oncology, Day Shift

Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, 12-hour day shifts, rotating shifts as needed

Key Responsibilities
• Provide advanced nursing care for oncology patients in an outpatient setting
• Recognize and manage side effects of biotherapy and chemotherapy treatments
• Administer medications, blood products, and IV therapies, including port access and line care
• Monitor patient vitals, perform blood draws, and conduct patient assessments
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, symptom management, and safety precautions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care

Required Qualifications
• Valid Registered Nurse license in Missouri or compact state, in hand at time of submission
• BLS certification mandatory; Chemo ONS/ONCC certification preferred or required before start
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant oncology nursing experience
• Proficiency in IV therapy, port access, and infusion pump management
• Ability to recognize and respond to treatment side effects and abnormal lab values

Preferred Experience / Skills
• EPIC electronic medical record system experience
• Experience with blood transfusions, EKGs, and patient education in an outpatient oncology setting
• Strong knowledge of infection control, isolation precautions, and neutropenic protocols
