Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for surgical patients.
• Maintain sterile fields and ensure proper handling and sterilization of surgical supplies and instruments.
• Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes during procedures.
• Administer medications and intravenous therapies in accordance with protocols and physician orders.
• Accurately document all patient care activities, interventions, and responses in compliance with standards.
• Monitor, identify, and mitigate risks to patient safety and promptly report incidents or errors.

Required Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing school.
• Current Massachusetts RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 60 days of hire.
• Previous operating room nursing experience highly preferred.
• CNOR certification strongly preferred.
