• Full-time, night shifts, 3x12-hour shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care to an average of 22 medical-surgical patients per shift in a Level I trauma center.
• Monitor cardiac function using telemetry, respond to emergency codes, and manage complex medical cases.
• Perform specialized duties including colostomy care, feeding tube management, and post-hemodialysis care.
• Administer medications such as Heparin, Insulin, and PCA pumps, along with blood product administration.
• Manage respiratory support devices including CPAP/BiPAP, HFNC, and tracheostomy care.
• Ensure compliance with infection control, wound management, and safety procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license
• Minimum 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience
• BLS certification
• Proficient in telemetry monitoring, wound care, IV therapy, and emergency response skills
• Experience with gastrointestinal, genitourinary, renal, and respiratory patients

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with complex surgical drains and ortho trauma cases
• Knowledge of hospital electronic charting systems, preferably Cerner
• Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs
