Full-time, night shifts, 3 shifts per week (12 hours each)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care within IMC, PCU, and Stepdown units, including post-cardiac, angiogram, MI recovery, and pre/post-cardiac surgery patients.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to emergency situations using telemetry and rapid response teams.
• Administer medications such as Heparin and PCA, manage IV therapies, including blood products, central lines, PICC lines, and IV starts.
• Conduct patient assessments and deliver comprehensive care for neurological, orthopedic, respiratory, and metabolic conditions.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care, documentation, and compliance with protocols.
• Float between departments as needed, maintaining flexibility to meet facility demands.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in the state of Missouri.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent (within the past 12 months) specialty experience in a similar setting.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Experience with telemetry, cardiac monitoring, and emergency response procedures.
• Knowledge of IV therapy, medication protocols, and patient safety standards.
• Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage cardiac drips without titration.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous charge nursing and teaching hospital experience.
• Experience working within IMC or Stepdown units, with a focus on cardiovascular, neurological, and surgical patient care.
• Comfortable floating across multiple departments and units as required.
