Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care to patients experiencing stroke, STEMI, cardiac arrest, renal issues, and pediatric and geriatric conditions in a high-acuity environment.
• Independently assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care following the nursing process and clinical protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a primary resuscitation and stroke center, utilizing EPIC EMR.
• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness, ensuring patient safety.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and thoroughly.
• Educate patients and their families on care plans, discharge instructions, and health management.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Texas or a compact state.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications (American Heart Association preferred).
• Minimum 1 year of emergency or critical care nursing experience.
• Prior experience with EPIC EMR preferred.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, from 3 PM to 3 AM.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in trauma centers or similar high-volume, high-acuity settings.
• Knowledge of stroke protocols and thrombectomy procedures.
• Familiarity with managing geriatric, pediatric, and renal patients within an emergency setting.
