• Full-time, 13-week contract (temp-to-perm available)
• Midshift: 1:00 PM – 1:00 AM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity emergency department, including stroke, STEMI, geriatric, pediatric, cardiac arrest, and renal cases.
• Utilize EPIC EMR system for documentation and patient management.
• Administer medications and treatments following established protocols, monitoring for effects and side effects.
• Assess patient needs, develop and implement care plans, and provide patient and family education.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive and timely care.
• Demonstrate independence in critical decision-making and effective delegation to care team members.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Texas or an eligible compact state.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications (American Heart Association only).
• At least 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in emergency or critical care settings.
• EPIC EMR experience is preferred.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a trauma or stroke center.
• Knowledge of advanced emergency procedures and protocols.
• Experience with thrombectomy-capable stroke centers.
