Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized postoperative care to patients recovering from anesthesia in the PACU.
- Monitor patient vital signs and response to medications, ensuring safety and stability.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress accurately.
- Adhere to hospital protocols and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to ensure quality care.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in the state of Virginia or eligible for licensure.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in perioperative or PACU nursing.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts during the day schedule.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a fast-paced hospital PACU setting.
- Strong critical thinking and patient assessment skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
