Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, Night shifts (3x12 hours per week)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the IMC/PCU/Stepdown units, including post-cardiac, post-MI, and cardiac monitoring
- Administer and manage IV therapies, including heparin protocols, PICC line care, and blood product administration
- Interpret and respond to telemetry dysrhythmias, manage cardiac drips, and utilize rapid response teams as needed
- Support patients with respiratory management such as chest tubes, BIPAP, and oxygen therapy
- Assist with neurological, orthopedic, and surgical procedures, including CVA management and postoperative care
- Ensure compliance with isolation precautions, wound care, and other professional nursing standards
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years recent ICU/PCU/Stepdown nursing experience within the past 12 months
- Valid nursing license in the state of Missouri or compact license in hand at submission
- Current BLS and ACLS certification
- Experience with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Ability to float between units and departments within scope of practice
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous charge nurse or teaching hospital experience
- IV therapy and phlebotomy skills, including port access
- Oncology monitoring or chemotherapeutic administration experience
