• Travel, Nights shift, 36 hours per week, 13-week duration, on-site

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to individuals with acute and chronic respiratory conditions, including pneumonia, COPD, and other lung diseases.
• Float to other units and hospitals as needed, supporting various medical and surgical patient needs.
• Collaborate daily with interdisciplinary teams during patient rounds to ensure comprehensive care.
• Maintain a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio on the Medical Respiratory Unit and 1:4 on the respiratory step-down unit.
• Adhere to hospital protocols, safety standards, and documentation requirements.
• Ensure timely and accurate administration of treatments and medications, documenting care appropriately.

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher.
• Current Alabama or Compact State Registered Nurse license (No temporary licenses accepted).
• AHA BLS or Red Cross certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience; will consider 18 months if holding the highest professional license and with at least 1 year of recent experience in the specialty.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working with respiratory patient populations.
• Familiarity with Meditech electronic medical records system.
• Ability to float between various hospital units confidently.
