Registered Nurse – Flex Pool (IMC/PCU/Stepdown)

Contract | Full-Time | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | 36 hours per week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Float between multiple medical and surgical units, including a Medical Unit, a Surgical Acute Unit, and a Cardiovascular Unit

• Provide direct patient care across units with varying nurse-to-patient ratios (up to 1:6 on medical/surgical units and 1:4 on cardiovascular)

• Operate and manage unit-specific equipment including Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vacs, and chest tubes

• Adhere to unit-specific orientation and training programs upon assignment to each department

• Maintain professional nursing attire (clean scrubs) in accordance with facility dress code

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license for the State of Hawaii — must be obtained prior to start of assignment

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience (up to 10 years preferred)

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification

• Documented proof of immunity required; medical and religious exemption requests will not be accepted in lieu of documentation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Certifications in PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, or ENPC

• Prior experience in a flex or float pool nursing role across medical and surgical environments

• Familiarity with Meditech EMR and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
