Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | Shift: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an endoscopy unit supporting both procedure and prep/recovery areas, with patient ratios of 1:1 in procedure rooms and 2:1 in prep/recovery bays
- Assist with and support a range of endoscopic procedures including EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, and bronchoscopy for adult and pediatric patients
- Utilize Meditech EMR for accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities
- Participate in on-call rotation, including one weekday per week and one weekend per month
- Float to related areas including IR, PACU, and Day Surgery as needed
- Adhere to unit dress code (royal blue scrubs) and all unit guidelines, including no personal devices or earbuds during patient care
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum of 1 year of Endoscopy/GI nursing experience
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Current ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Current PALS certification (American Heart Association)
- Ability to meet on-call requirements including weekday and weekend call obligations
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a high-volume endoscopy setting performing or assisting with EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, and bronchoscopy
- Experience caring for both adult and pediatric endoscopy patients
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR systems
