Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for antepartum, laboring, recovery, and postpartum patients, including lactation education and assistance.
- Deliver family-centered care encompassing well newborn care and Level 2 Nursery support.
- Oversee daily patient flow to optimize patient safety, care quality, and satisfaction; demonstrate ability to triage incoming patient requests.
- Administer medications, perform treatments, and assist with procedures while consistently adhering to patient safety guidelines.
- Deliver patient education to facilitate plan of care, support informed healthcare choices, and promote optimal wellness.
- Collaborate with providers, staff, and interdisciplinary team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes utilizing Relationship-Based Care principles.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience required.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher required (for positions hired after 07/01/2018).
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Colorado or from a valid compact state required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certification required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Demonstrated competency in healthcare assessment, prioritization, and critical thinking within a labor and delivery or LDRP setting.
- Experience working independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical environment.
- Familiarity with Just Culture principles and organizational values in a healthcare setting.
