Key Responsibilities
- Provide treatment, care, and evaluation for patients experiencing respiratory insufficiencies, including conditions such as asthma, pneumonia, and emphysema
- Operate and manage respiratory equipment including oxygen cylinders, nebulizers, suction machines, CPAP, BiPAP, V60, Servo-1, Servo-U, and high-flow devices
- Document patient care and clinical information accurately using an electronic documentation system
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to support patient outcomes
- Respond to call requirements as needed based on unit demands
Required Qualifications
- Active NBRC credential and valid Respiratory Therapist (RRT) state license
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
- Minimum of 2 years of current acute care hospital experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
- At least one prior travel assignment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Stroke education and clinical experience
- Prior experience with Meditech documentation system
- Active, disciplinary approach to patient care with strong collaborative physician relationships
- Ability to function independently and adapt to a fast-paced clinical environment
