Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized cardiovascular operating room nursing care for surgical procedures including off-pump and on-pump CABG, vascular bypass, and carotid endarterectomy.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure the highest level of patient safety and care during cardiovascular surgeries.
- Maintain sterile and safe environment in accordance with hospital policies and protocols.
- Monitor patient status and respond to intraoperative needs promptly.
- Adhere to unit policies, including on-call responsibilities and weekend coverage as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- RN licensure in the state of Texas or eligible for licensure.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Minimum of 3 years recent experience in CV surgery.
- Experience with on and off pump CABG procedures.
- Ability to work day shifts, 10 hours per shift.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Vascular surgery experience.
- Prior experience working in a cardiac surgical unit.
- Strong teamwork and hardworking attitude.
