RN - Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Float Pool)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 36 hours per week | Every Other Weekend (EOW)

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care as a Float Pool RN across Medical Surgical and Telemetry units
  • Monitor and assess patients on telemetry, identifying and responding to changes in condition
  • Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate and deliver safe, effective patient care
  • Adapt to varying unit needs and patient populations as part of a float pool assignment

Required Qualifications

  • Active Connecticut RN License (or valid Compact RN License)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Stroke NIH certification
  • Ability to work night shifts, 3x12-hour shifts per week, including every other weekend

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Prior experience in a Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry setting
  • Experience working in a float pool or multi-unit environment
