Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Job Title

• Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Schedule / Job Type

• Travel, 10-week assignment, nights shift, 12.5 hours per shift

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department, supporting a 101-bed unit
• Administer medications, monitor patient conditions, and utilize GE monitors and Baxter pumps efficiently
• Document patient processes using Cerner system, ensuring accurate and timely updates
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, offering coaching and feedback in a team-oriented environment
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies including ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, and ENPC certifications
• Support hospital's mission to serve a diverse community, demonstrating respectful patient interactions and excellent bedside manners

Required Qualifications

• At least 2 years of nursing experience, with a minimum of 1 year in an ER setting
• Valid ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS certifications, or ability to obtain prior to start date
• Experience in a Level 2 trauma and high-volume ED (over 100,000 visits annually) preferred
• Proven teamwork skills, flexibility to work across all ED areas, and strong communication abilities

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with HCA facilities is a plus
• Ability to coach and provide real-time feedback to team members
• Comfortable working with a multicultural patient base, with services in over 120 languages
