Travel RN – Postpartum / Mother Baby

Contract | Travel | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 13-Week Assignment | Projected Start: May 4, 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and manage perineal care for postpartum patients
• Provide direct nursing care to postpartum mothers and newborns in a 23-bed Mother Baby unit
• Educate parents on newborn care, safety, and bonding techniques
• Collaborate with charge nurses, CNAs, and nursery RNs as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech / CPN EMR systems

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital Postpartum / Mother Baby experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS certification
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a dedicated Mother Baby unit
• Flexibility with scheduling and ability to adapt quickly to new environments and workflows
• Strong communication skills with staff and providers
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach with a collaborative team-player attitude
