Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Oncology)

Contract | Nights (3x12 Hours, 19:00–07:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients across the full spectrum of solid tumor oncology, including breast, lung, prostate, pancreatic, colon, and esophageal cancers, as well as patients receiving antineoplastic chemotherapy.
• Support patients from new diagnosis through active treatment and transition to end-of-life care.
• Perform telemetry interpretation and monitoring as part of routine patient assessment.
• Implement and maintain infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention measures.
• Manage true medical-surgical patient issues in addition to oncology-specific care needs.
• Float to other Medical Surgical Oncology units as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license (compact or Ohio state license) required at time of submission.
• Minimum 2 years of registered nursing experience required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Proficiency in telemetry interpretation and monitoring.
• Experience with computerized charting; EPIC required.
• Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Oncology nursing experience preferred.
• ONS Chemotherapy certification preferred.
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred.
