Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit with standard nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:6, with potential flex to 1:7 during unplanned staffing absences
- Administer medications including insulin and respond to rapid response situations as needed
- Monitor and manage telemetry patients within scope of practice
- Float within scope to like units or sister facilities to meet facility staffing needs
- Participate in on-call availability on a PRN low-census basis
- Be available for emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June through November)
Required Qualifications
- Active South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start date
- Current BLS certification required
- Proficiency in Med/Surg and Telemetry nursing skills
- Experience with insulin administration and rapid response protocols
- Experience with Epic electronic health records system
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg or Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience preferred; first-time travelers accepted
- ACLS and/or NIHSS certification preferred
