Medical Technologist / Clinical Lab Scientist

Contract | Night Shift (11:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite | 13-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Perform clinical laboratory testing and analysis across a high-volume hospital laboratory setting
• Conduct and accurately interpret manual differentials, including work supporting large neonatal units
• Operate and utilize Sysmex and CellaVision systems as part of routine laboratory workflow
• Manage and analyze complex specimen types including turbid specimens, platelet clumps, and abnormal cell findings
• Maintain accurate documentation and results reporting using Cerner
• Adhere to laboratory protocols, quality control standards, and regulatory compliance requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active certification from ASCP, AMT, or AAB as a Medical Laboratory Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist (Medical Lab Technician certifications will not be considered)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in the specialty
• Proficiency with Cerner laboratory information system
• Hands-on experience with Sysmex and CellaVision instrumentation
• Demonstrated competency performing manual differentials accurately and efficiently

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working in a large hospital laboratory (600+ bed facility) with a high-volume, fast-paced environment
• Experience handling complex and challenging specimen types including turbid samples, platelet clumps, and abnormal cellular findings
• Background supporting neonatal laboratory testing and differential analysis in that context
