Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Contract | Rotating Day/Night Shifts | 4x12-Hour Shifts | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret ECG cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with facility protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Float to designated units as operationally needed to care for the same patient population
• Work rotating day and night shifts, including every other holiday as required

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – permanent Ohio license or Compact State license required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 18 months of permanent (non-travel) experience in Medical Surgical/Telemetry specialty prior to any travel assignments
• Minimum of 18 months of recent Medical Surgical/Telemetry experience (travel experience accepted for this requirement)
• Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification required
• Active ACLS certification required
• Active NIHSS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry setting
• Demonstrated ability to pass ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessments
• Experience working in a large acute care or academic medical center environment
