Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 3 x 12-hour shifts | 36 hours per week | Every other weekend and holiday rotation | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct inpatient acute care nursing for medical/surgical and telemetry patients
- Perform stroke patient care, monitoring, and neurological assessments
- Monitor and interpret telemetry readings, responding appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently using EPIC electronic health records
- Participate in weekend and holiday rotation as scheduled
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Connecticut RN license or valid compact license
- Minimum 2 years of inpatient acute care Med/Tele experience
- Stroke patient care and assessment experience
- Current BLS certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification – one-year certification only (two-year certification not accepted)
- Proficiency with EPIC charting
Preferred Experience / Skills
- At least 1 year of travel nursing experience
- Strong telemetry monitoring and interpretation skills
