Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Onsite | Weekend availability required – every other weekend, Friday and Saturday nights (Sunday nights are not considered a weekend shift)

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary health care team
• Provide explanations and instructions to patients and responsible parties
• Apply nursing clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient condition
• Meet Core Measure responsibilities related to patient care and maintain complete and accurate medical records
• Contribute to a healthy workplace environment through professional communication and conflict management

Required Qualifications

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Experience in a Progressive Care, Intermediate Care, or Stepdown unit setting

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in cardiac services, cardiac care, or interventional imaging environments
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and cardiovascular patient populations
• Additional certifications such as PALS, NRP, or OCN relevant to specialty area
