Key Responsibilities
- Provide pre- and post-procedural care for interventional cardiac patients including angiogram, elective PCI, cardioversion, TEE, and structural heart procedures
- Manage care for electrophysiology patients including ablation, lead placement, and pacer placement
- Administer blood and blood products, procedure sedation, and stable cardiac drips including Heparin and Insulin
- Perform sheath removal, epicardial pacer management, and cardioversion/defibrillation
- Interpret and manage telemetry and dysrhythmias
- Float to like units as required; maintain flexibility within the department
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; active compact license accepted
- Minimum 2 years of experience in interventional cardiac or procedural nursing
- Strong IV skills and sheath pull experience required
- Proficiency in dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with pre- and post-TAVR, Mitral Clip, and same-day structural heart procedure recovery
- Familiarity with TEE and procedure sedation protocols
- Background in high-acuity interventional cardiac or step-down environments
