Contract | Three 12-hour shifts per week | Mid Shift | Traditional weekday plus weekend rotation | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for both ICU and progressive care patients on a mixed-acuity unit, with primary focus on progressive patients at a 1:3 ratio and ICU patients at a 1:2 ratio
• Care for ventilated patients, initiate and titrate IV drips including vasopressors, sedation, and paralytics
• Assist with intubations and line placement
• Monitor critically ill patients with diagnoses including sepsis, respiratory failure, renal failure, myocardial infarction, pulmonary embolism, and pneumonia
• Utilize unit equipment including Philips heart monitors, Epic EMR, Pyxis, EKG machines, and dopplers
• Float to other ICU, progressive care, and medical-surgical units as needed, maintaining a maximum 1:3 patient ratio

Required Qualifications

• Valid Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1.5 years of ICU experience
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• Ability to critically think, reason, and remain flexible in a mixed-acuity environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 facility preferred
