Registered Nurse – ICU / Progressive Care

Contract | Three 12-hour shifts per week | Mid Shift | Traditional weekday plus weekend rotation | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care for both ICU and progressive care patients on a mixed-acuity unit, with primary focus on progressive patients at a 1:3 ratio and ICU patients at a 1:2 ratio
- Care for ventilated patients, initiate and titrate IV drips including vasopressors, sedation, and paralytics
- Assist with intubations and line placement
- Monitor critically ill patients with diagnoses including sepsis, respiratory failure, renal failure, myocardial infarction, pulmonary embolism, and pneumonia
- Utilize unit equipment including Philips heart monitors, Epic EMR, Pyxis, EKG machines, and dopplers
- Float to other ICU, progressive care, and medical-surgical units as needed, maintaining a maximum 1:3 patient ratio
Required Qualifications
- Valid Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1.5 years of ICU experience
- BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
- ACLS certification (American Heart Association only)
- Ability to critically think, reason, and remain flexible in a mixed-acuity environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience preferred
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
- Experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 facility preferred
