Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to NICU patients at 22 weeks gestation and greater, including premature infants and those with BPD and nutritional risk
- Monitor and manage patients on conventional ventilators, oscillators, bubble CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, and nasal cannula
- Assist with and support ROP exams as part of patient care protocols
- Float to Family Maternity Center and Postpartum units (newborn care only) as needed
- Document all patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
- Participate in weekend shifts as scheduled, including 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
Required Qualifications
- Active Washington State RN license or valid Compact RN license
- Minimum 2 years of Level III NICU experience
- Current BLS (BCLS) certification
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Proficiency with EPIC charting system
- Ability to commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a Level II NICU or Women and Children's Pavilion setting
- Familiarity with postpartum and family maternity care environments
- Experience floating between like units within a hospital system
