Surgical Scrub Technician – Operating Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Variable Shifts (0645–2315); 40 hours per week (32 hours possible on holiday weeks) | On-call required (average 1–2 times per week plus up to 2 weekends per month; 20-minute callback time)

Key Responsibilities

• Independently scrub a wide range of surgical procedures including General, Orthopedic, Vascular, Ophthalmic, Urology, ENT, Endoscopy, Robotic, Obstetrics, and Gynecology cases
• Assist with operating room turnover cleaning between cases
• Transport patients as needed within the department
• Participate in on-call rotation covering 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
• Complete a minimum of 39 shifts during the contract duration if requesting time off
• Orient on day shift for up to one week or at manager's discretion

Required Qualifications

• Active State of Hawaii Surgical Technologist license required by assignment start date
• Minimum of 2 years of scrubbing experience in a hospital operating room setting
• Demonstrated ability to independently scrub across multiple surgical specialties
• Ability to meet a 20-minute on-call callback requirement

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience scrubbing Endoscopy and Robotic surgical cases
• Prior travel assignment experience in a fast-paced, high-volume OR environment
