Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) – Travel Contract

Contract (Travel) | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Perform ground ambulance transport at all levels of service including BLS, ALS, Critical Care, Behavioral Health, and wheelchair transport
• Provide pre-hospital patient care and medication administration during transport
• Operate and utilize equipment including Zoll Cardiac Monitors and IV pumps (Baxter & Alaris)
• Document patient care activities using ESO electronic medical records system
• Adapt to daily staffing needs, including floating between transport types such as BLS van or wheelchair van as required
• Adhere to scheduled rotations including one weekend per month

Required Qualifications

• Valid EMT Certification (any state or National Registry; North Carolina certification or reciprocity required prior to start date)
• Current BLS Certification
• Minimum of one year of full-time active pre-hospital care experience or equivalent
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Minimum of 2 years of satisfactory driving experience meeting established insurance guidelines
• North Carolina Emergency Medical Technician Certification with current CE requirements

Preferred Experience / Skills

• National Registry EMT Certification
• Bachelor's degree in Emergency Medical Services (EMS)
• Experience with Behavioral Health transport
