Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift | Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM | 40 Hours/Week | No Call
Key Responsibilities
- Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment in accordance with facility protocols
- Operate and maintain sterilization equipment including autoclaves and other processing machinery
- Perform quality checks to ensure instruments meet safety and cleanliness standards prior to distribution
- Accurately track and document instrument processing activities and sterilization records
- Collaborate with surgical and clinical teams to ensure timely availability of sterile supplies and instrumentation
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of Sterile Processing experience required
- Active Sterile Processing certification required: CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) or CBSPD (Certified Biomedical/Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician)
- Strong knowledge of sterilization techniques, infection control standards, and instrument handling procedures
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a hospital or acute care sterile processing department
- Familiarity with instrument tracking software and sterile processing documentation systems
