Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite | Projected Start: June 1, 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 20-bed Surgical Trauma ICU at a Magnet-designated, ACS Verified Level I Trauma Center with a 1:2 patient ratio
- Operate and monitor advanced equipment including EVDs, Camino/bolts, GE Carescape bedside monitors, GE ventilators, Prisma Max CRRT, Zoll, Alaris PCA pumps, and wound vacs
- Perform and assist with unit procedures including intubation, extubation, chest tube placement, central line and A-line placement, bronchoscopy, proning, TPA administration, hypertonic medication administration, CRRT/HD, and trach placement
- Document patient care accurately using Cerner PowerChart
- Adhere to a 6-week modified self-scheduling model, including a minimum of 6 required weekend shifts per contract
- Float to other ICU units (MICU, NSICU, CVICU, CICU) or Step Down as needed per floating policy
Required Qualifications
- Active, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of acute care ICU experience (LTAC experience not considered)
- Trauma ICU experience at a Level I or Level II Trauma Center
- Surgical ICU experience
- Active ACLS and BLS certifications
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with CRRT/HD and advanced neurological monitoring devices (EVDs, Camino/bolts)
- Familiarity with Cerner PowerChart documentation system
- Demonstrated ability to work as a team player with a positive attitude and flexibility in a high-acuity environment
