Contract (13-Week Travel Assignment) | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adolescent psychiatric patients in a behavioral health inpatient setting
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in alignment with behavioral health protocols
• Monitor patient mental status, safety, and therapeutic progress throughout the shift
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including psychiatrists, therapists, and social workers to coordinate patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes
• Adhere to facility policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements specific to adolescent psychiatric care

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of North Carolina or compact licensure eligibility
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in behavioral health or psychiatric care
• Experience working with adolescent psychiatric populations
• Current BLS certification required; additional psychiatric-specific certifications may be required
• Ability to fulfill a 13-week travel contract with a projected start date of June 1, 2026

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in a behavioral health or psychiatric setting
• Familiarity with de-escalation techniques and therapeutic communication strategies specific to adolescent patients
• Experience in a high-acuity or referral-level hospital environment
