Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | Three 12-hour shifts per week (6:30 AM–7:00 PM or 6:30 PM–7:00 AM) | Rotating weekends and holidays | No call requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to high-risk OB patients including antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum populations across a 14-bed LDR unit with triage, PACU, and OR support areas
- Circulate C-sections in the OR as required
- Administer and monitor infusions including Oxytocin, Magnesium Sulfate, Insulin, and other medications per protocol
- Perform IV placement, venipuncture, and lab draws on both maternal and newborn patients
- Operate and monitor specialty equipment including Alaris pumps, epidural pumps, fetal monitors, and infant warmers
- Float to Postpartum and Antepartum units as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license — Compact or Arkansas state license required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in Labor & Delivery
- Current BLS certification
- Recent hands-on experience with EPIC electronic health records
- Proficiency with Pyxis medication system
- Ability to work rotating weekends (up to every other weekend) and rotating holidays
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Level 1 Trauma center experience
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification
- Experience in a high-volume teaching facility environment
