Patient Care Assistant / Technician – Medical/Surgical, Intensive Care Unit, Emergency Room

Contract | Evening Shift | 8 Hours | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM | Every Other Weekend Required | Holiday Coverage Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and assistance under the supervision of licensed nursing staff
• Support patient needs across Medical/Surgical units, the Intensive Care Unit, and the Emergency Room
• Float to various units as needed, including Med/Surg, ICU, and ER
• Assist with patient monitoring, comfort, and activities of daily living
• Collaborate with clinical team members to ensure safe and effective patient care

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Patient Care Technician or Patient Care Assistant
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Ability and willingness to float to Med/Surg, ICU, and Emergency Room units
• Availability to work every other weekend and required holidays

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 3 or more years of experience in a patient care technician or similar clinical support role
• Prior experience working across multiple units including ICU and Emergency Room settings
