Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time (36–48 hours per week) | Day Shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite | Every other weekend required | Holidays as required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour medical monitoring and direct nursing care to rehabilitation patients including stroke, hip fracture, and pulmonary diagnoses
• Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team alongside physiatrists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and therapy staff to support patient recovery goals
• Assist patients in achieving improved functional ability and independence throughout their inpatient rehabilitation stay
• Utilize and support the use of specialized rehabilitation equipment including body weight support systems, treadmills, Dynavision machines, and vehicle simulation tools
• Float to other units and hospital locations as needed
• Document and manage patient care using Meditech EMR

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Alabama or valid Compact license (temporary licenses not accepted); must be verifiable through NURSYS
• Current AHA BLS or Red Cross BLS certification
• Minimum of 18 months of experience working under the highest level of professional licensure, with at least 1 year of recent experience in rehabilitation nursing
• Willingness to float to other units and hospital locations as required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of registered nursing experience
• Prior experience working with rehabilitation patient populations including stroke, orthopedic, and pulmonary patients
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR
