CT / Radiology Scan Technologist – Travel (Weekend Days)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic CT and radiologic exams under general supervision, following established policies and procedures using appropriate imaging equipment
• Verify patient identity, review medical records for exam appropriateness, obtain medical history, and assess risk factors including medications and pregnancy status
• Explain procedures to patients, including pharmaceutical side effects, risks, benefits, alternatives, and follow-up instructions
• Set up equipment, acquire images per protocol, review images, document exceptions, and communicate findings to the radiologist
• Recognize and respond to medical emergencies appropriately and provide physician-prescribed post-care instructions to patients
• Participate in process improvement activities including quality of care, patient flow, reject-repeat analysis, and imaging education for residents, student technologists, and new employees

Required Qualifications

• ARRT certification in both CT and Radiology (must be provided at time of submission)
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (must be provided at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of recent CT and Radiology experience; must be able to work independently
• Active Texas CT/Radiology license (must be provided at time of submission)
• Familiarity with GE CT and X-ray equipment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel technologist experience in a hospital or acute care setting
• Availability and willingness to take on-call shifts beyond the core weekend schedule
